Eating Qualities
Cheese is nature's perfect food, it is versatile and tasty and contains essential proteins, vitamins, calcium and other minerals
Calcium
Cheese is rich in calcium – a mineral which is important for strong bones and teeth. Calcium can help prevent osteoporosis and also helps protect against tooth decay.

Eating some cheese at the end of each meal is thought to increase the amount of saliva in the mouth, helping to neutralise the acid and wash it away. The high calcium and phosphorous content of cheese may also help by replacing some of the minerals in tooth enamel, further strengthening them.
Protein
Cheese is a great source of protein – it contains essential amino acids which are needed to build and repair muscle tissue.
Vitamins
Cheese is bursting with vitamins, including vitamin B12 needed for building red blood cells, vitamin B2 needed for converting food into energy, as well as vitamin A and niacin.
Minerals
As well as calcium, cheese contains magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, potassium and iodine.
